The mooring hauler, “Iron Eagle”, was custom built by Houghton Marine in Rockport Maine in 2004. It is a 34-foot-long aluminum hulled mooring hauler with twin caterpillar diesel engines. The hauler comes equipped with a Pullmaster deck winch powered off the diesel engines, which gives the “Iron Eagle” the capability of lifting 25,000 pounds. The Iron Eagle also is equipped with a 5,000-pound Pullmaster winch on its articulating frame.
Along with providing mooring service the mooring hauler has been used to salvage small boats, lift docks for repair, and special customer projects through the years.
